Rhian Sugden made the most of her latest overseas break on Thursday

Rhian Sugden maximized her recent vacation abroad on Thursday, following her mention of a short-lived romantic involvement with the controversial comedian Russell Brand.

The esteemed swimwear model is presently relishing a holiday in Mallorca, and she took the opportunity to inform her followers through a fresh Instagram post.

Identifying her whereabouts as Palma, the main town of the Spanish island, she posted a picture of herself wearing a skimpy bikini top that evidently struggled to confine her ample assets.

Rhian said nothing untoward happened when they were togetherRhian, aged 37, posted a comment on her past association with Brand, who is currently facing a challenge to salvage his career in the wake of a Channel 4 Dispatches report that has alleged rape, sexual misconduct, and predatory conduct between 2006 and 2013, during the peak of his popularity. Brand has refuted these allegations. Although the model has maintained that nothing inappropriate occurred during their time together, she has asserted that he joined the No More Page 3 campaign in 2014 after being unable to engage in sexual relations with the models listed therein.

She told Instagram followers: ‘I had reporters and Dispatches knocking on my parents door months back asking for information on Russell Brand as we briefly dated when I was younger.

‘He was always very pleasant to me and treated me well.’

She added: ‘Despite him attempting to s**g his way through other page 3 girls and getting declined he soon went full circle and joined a “No More Page 3 campaign” to get us shut down.

‘I can’t comment on the allegations that have been made against him, I’ve no scoop on the fella except his hair used to smell bad and he definitely wasn’t the one that got away. (sic)’

Multiple women have come forward with allegations of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse against Brand. One of the accusers claims that Brand raped her in his Los Angeles residence, while another alleges that he groomed her during an emotionally abusive and controlling relationship that lasted for three months when she was only 16 years old and still in school, while he was 31. A third accuser has accused the comedian of sexually assaulting her while they worked together in Los Angeles, and claims that he threatened legal action if she disclosed her allegations to anyone else. A fourth accuser has detailed the sexual, physical, and emotional abuse she experienced. Brand has responded to these allegations by posting a video on YouTube and Twitter, in which he refutes the accusations and maintains that the relationships in question were consensual during his promiscuous phase.

The glamour model has spoken out this week on her short lived fling with BrandIt has been alleged that Brand’s conduct was widely known among female performers in the comedy circuit, who reportedly cautioned each other about him. Sources who briefed The Sunday Times have claimed that his attitude towards women was an open secret in radio and TV production. During his tenure as a presenter between 2006 and 2013, the BBC and Channel 4 are accused of ignoring his behaviour. While the broadcasters have maintained that they took all necessary measures, executives may be summoned before a Government select committee to answer questions about their knowledge of the situation. Brand has a history of making controversial remarks about women on his shows, including referring to newsreader Andrea Simmons as a ‘sex bomb’ and expressing his desire to ‘go under the desk’ while she was reading the news. In 2008, he and Jonathan Ross sparked a public backlash after leaving lewd messages on actor Andrew Sachs’s answerphone, including boasting about their sexual encounters with Sachs’s granddaughter Georgina Baillie. The Sunday Times has reported that many believe the BBC should have been aware of concerns about Brand’s behaviour on his show well before the Sachsgate scandal.

According to reports, a formal complaint was lodged by BBC staff members against the station’s Controller, Lesley Douglas, regarding Russell Brand’s behavior in the studio in December 2007.

The Times has disclosed that the complaint was prompted by an incident where the radio host displayed alarming aggression and disrespect, throwing objects in a fit of rage.

Furthermore, it was reported that Brand urinated in a bottle in plain sight of production staff and a guest, who appeared to be a minor and had been invited to appear on Radio 2 by a charitable organization.

These alleged complaints, along with any others that may have been made, were not mentioned in subsequent official reports on the Sachsgate incident.

In response, Douglas’ legal representatives have stated that she never encouraged, facilitated, or neglected to take appropriate action regarding Russell Brand’s conduct, to the extent of her knowledge and authority.

Due to her obligations to her former employer, she is presently unable to provide any additional information that may be pertinent to the matters raised in this article, her lawyers added.

Both Brand and Douglas departed from the BBC following the serious breach of editorial standards in 2008.
